PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Low-cost Directors and Officers (D&O) liability insurance through Chubb, one of the nation’s top insurance carriers, in partnership with Wortham Insurance & Risk Management, Austin’s oldest and largest independent insurance broker.
- Annual premiums in the $675-$1,900 range, depending on organization size and other factors. Subject to underwriter approval.
- $1 million combined annual limits for D&O and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) with a $1,000 deductible.
- Easy application process. Just complete and return the application to Joe Christian.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Limited to current nonprofit members of Greenlights in good standing
- Must be incorporated as a nonprofit and have IRS 501 (c) status
- Must have total employee count (full and part time) of 25 or less and fewer than 50 volunteers
- Must have total operating revenue / budget less than $5 million per year
- Must have a positive fund balance and a positive operating income for the most current financial year
- Must have no subsidiaries
- Must provide services as specified in the acceptable classes of business
- Must have no D&O liability or employment practices liability claims or litigation activity within the past five years
